Free Event Educates and Empowers Future, Current Homeowners

In celebration of June as National Homeownership Month, Georgians are invited to attend a free homeownership summit which will feature various educational seminars and home preservation workshops on Saturday, June 28, beginning at 9 a.m. at the Georgia World Congress Center.

DeKalb County Community Development is supporting the 2008 Homeownership Summit, in partnership with FHA/HUD, The City of Atlanta Bureau of Housing, Housing Authority of Fulton County and more, will focus on educating current and future homeowners about the home buying process. On-site housing counselors and industry experts will inform event participants about resources and options available for homebuyers and answer questions during various workshops and break-out sessions.

WHAT:                      Interested and current homeowners are invited to participate in a free homeownership summit in celebration of June as National Homeownership Month. The summit features break-out sessions and workshops dedicated to educating and empowering homebuyers.

                                    Attendees are asked to meet in the Georgia Ballroom beginning at 9 a.m.

Meeting rooms C202, C203, C204 will be used for various breakout sessions and educational workshops beginning at 10 a.m.
