Leadership DeKalb invites active and influential leaders to apply for admission to the Class of 2009. Each year, approximately 50 established and emerging leaders are selected to participate in a ten-month training program to further develop their leadership skills, gain a broader understanding of community issues and connect with an outstanding community-wide network of leaders. Candidates must live or work in DeKalb County.

For 21 years, Leadership DeKalb has built a committed group of regional leaders with over 850 graduates. Many CEO’s of top public and private companies, as well as a large number of governmental officials, educators, judges, entrepreneurs, volunteers and nonprofit leaders are graduates.

To find out more, the public is invited to attend an Open House for Prospective Members on Thursday, January 31, 2008. A reception with light refreshments begins at 5:30 p.m. and the informational program runs from 6 - 7 p.m. The Open House will be held at DeKalb Medical’s Women’s Center, 2701 North Decatur Road, Decatur, GA 30033.

A panel of distinguished graduates of the program will be on hand to reflect on what Leadership DeKalb has meant to them and answer questions about the program’s value, requirements, and tuition.
