Published Aug 3, 2008
(Updated Aug 4, 2008)

How Volunteers Can Advance Your Mission & How Budget and Financial Planning Can Create Success.

In these financially challenging times, nonprofit leaders need to focus on maximizing assets and planning with fewer resources to create sustained success. These two workshops, facilitated by nationally known management consultant Terri Theisen, will help advance nonprofits to greatness.

How Volunteers Can Advance Your Mission (1:00 – 3:15 p.m.)

With limited budgets and staff, nonprofits must turn to volunteers to help expand and improve. Learn practical tips and methods for working with volunteers at the organizational level, committee level, and board level of your organization. Hear from a distinguished panel of leaders who will speak on how to maximize your success with volunteers.

How Budget and Financial Planning Can Create Success (3:30 – 5:30 p.m.)

This session is especially relevant to new or experienced board members and staff of nonprofits who are “non-financial” people. Learn practical information about financial statements, including recognizing the most important elements of creating financial success in your organization.
