Finders Keepers Boutique invites customers to their Christmas in July event to benefit the Metro Transitional Women’s Prison Ministry. Customers who bring a necessary item for the women will receive an extra 10 percent off of their total purchase and will be entered into a raffle for amazing prizes including gift cards and unique merchandise. Christmas in July will be held on Friday July 18, 2008 from 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday July 19, 2008 from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

“Christmas is a season for giving and ‘Christmas in July’ will give us the opportunity to give to our customers as they give to the Metro Transitional Women’s Prison Ministry,” said Casey Kallenberg, Manager of Finders Keepers Boutique. “We have worked with the Metro Transitional Women’s Prison Ministry in the past and we are pleased to have the opportunity to work with them again.”

To receive the discount, customers must bring in a necessary item for the women in the Ministry. These items include a regular-size bottle of shampoo, regular- size bottle of conditioner, tube of alcohol-free toothpaste, or a box of feminine products. Customers will also be entered into a raffle and have the opportunity to win a $10 gift card to Mexico City Gourmet, a Cromia handbag or a one-of-a-kind handcrafted leather handbag.

The Metro Transitional Women’s Prison Ministry is a halfway house for women who have just been released from a state prison. Every woman has to find a job and meet certain standards to receive support from the Ministry. The Ministry receives support from Eula Clay, who plans and hosts monthly birthday parties for the women. For birthday presents Clay puts together bags of necessary items for the women and also brings extra bags for women who need the items.
