Petite Auberge, a classic French restaurant in Toco Hills at 2935 N. Druid Hills Road, hosts a fundraiser buffet dinner and auction on Friday, April 4, from 7 to 10 p.m.  The event raises money for the Southeast Pug Rescue & Adoption, Inc. (SEPRA), costs $40 per person (inclusive) and is open to anyone who wants to eat a gourmet meal while helping to raise money for the charity.  Although no pugs are allowed at the dinner, SEPRA will have information on pugs and pug mixes available for adoption, as well as have SEPRA merchandise for sale.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.rescuepug.com, through March 28, or by contacting randi@rescuepug.com, until the day of the event.

The buffet dinner features a selection of Petite Auberge’s signature dishes, including salads, sides, entrees and desserts.  The menu includes:  Seasonal Mixed Greens Salad Bar; Asiago Cheese Potatoes; Mixed Vegetable Stir-Fry; Chicken Cordon Bleu; Beef & Cheese Penne Pasta; Chef’s Carving Board with Slow Roasted New York Strip Steak & Oven Roasted Turkey; a Dessert Buffet with assorted Homemade Cakes, Cheese Cakes, Tarts, Mousses, and Bread Pudding; and Coffee and Tea.  The auction features items for both the parents and their pets, such as gift certificates for salon services and to restaurants, as well as pet portraits and apparel.

Brenda Megel, president of SEPRA, says this fundraiser is so crucial to the organization because, “Vet bills for incoming pugs rescued from shelters, in addition to special needs pugs requiring significant medical treatment, exceed the amount of money we have in our bank account.  In order for SEPRA to pay bills and help rescue more pugs, we simply have to raise more money.”

For over 30 years, Petite Auberge has served fine French cuisine and Continental classics to a discriminating Atlanta clientele.  Nestled away in a quiet corner of the Toco Hill Center, this Atlanta French restaurant keeps its guests coming back with such distinctive favorites as Beef Wellington, Coq au Vin, Rack of Lamb and many more.  For more information or driving directions, visit www.petiteauberge.com, or call 404-634-6268.

SEPRA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that rescues, fosters and adopts out pugs and pug mixes.  The organization is a fully licensed shelter by the Department of Agriculture; however, SEPRA does work solely out of private foster homes.  The organization is run exclusively by volunteers, and, therefore, every dollar donated to or raised by SEPRA goes directly to rescues and administrative fees.  SEPRA hosts a website that features adoption, foster, volunteer and donation information and applications, new news, pug health warnings, pug photos and a marketplace.  To learn more, visit www.rescuepug.com, or call 770-887-9741.
