Callanwolde Fine Arts Center Gallery Presents "Fun and Games" The Art of Ben Goldman

Working directly on the surface of actual game boards, Goldman superimposes a multitude of symbols, words and objects, creating both physical and intellectual layers.
"Game boards are popular items and are easily related to by people of all ages," says the artist. "I use the game board titles as my core idea for the art pieces. The titles allow me to explore a wide variety of human behavior. Dominance, love, greed, anger, addiction and consumption are some of the topics I explore."
The exhibit will open on Friday, June 6, with a reception for the artist from 7 to 9 pm, and run through July 25. Admission is free and the public is invited. Callanwolde is located at 980 Briarcliff Road in Atlanta. The gallery is situated on the second floor of the main building. Gallery viewing hours are from 10 am to 8 pm, Monday through Friday, and 10 am to 3 pm on Saturday. For more information call Callanwolde at 404-872-5338.
