It is more a mainstream hobby”, says Thompson. A special education teacher, Thompson loves scrap booking with children because it allows them to express themselves through a creative medium. She says “No one cares if something is crooked because it can look to be meant that way.”

Scrap Chic Boutique is a scrapbooking store that offers paper finds and endless supplies for scrap art. They carry many products that would be difficult, if not impossible, to find at a general art store, including the brands that are in the national scrapbooking magazines. They also offer a variety of classes along with five clubs exclusive to Scrap Chic: Stamp club, Recipe Club, Dye cut club, a kids class, and Memory Art sessions that include dinner for just $15.00.
