Started back in 1982 with Linda Thompson and Dusty as co-owners, they decided to bring the North Carolina style barbeque to the Atlanta area. Dusty passed on a month after opening the restaurant, but his passion for real barbeque, slow cooked to be extremely tender and hold in all the moisture, has remained.
 
The 50-seat restaurant has grown to not only serve those who stop in, but they cater as well. Wedding rehearsal catering and corporate catering have helped to keep them jumping. With accounts with companies such as Southern Company, Georgia Power, AT&T, USS Railroad, Norfolk Southern Railroad and more, Dusty’s Barbecue and Catering continues to whet the palates in Atlanta.

Not only do they make mouth watering barbeque pork, chicken, and beef, but they round out their menu with Brunswick Stew made from an old family recipe. Ribs perfectly done, smoked or traditional turkeys with all the trimmings, a killer Banana pudding, home-style potato chips with a special secret spice, barbecue salad and even a barbecue ranch dressing round out the menu. Top all this award winning Taste of Atlanta food with your choice of regular, sweet, or hot and sizzle barbecue sauce made-in house, the 35 employees will take care of your tummy whether you are alone or several hundred at an annual party.
