ToolBank Offers Fee-Free Tools To All Tornado Repair/Cleanup Efforts

Published Mar 17, 2008

In the wake of weekend tornadoes in and around Atlanta, the ToolBank is waiving membership and tool handling fees for the month of March to organizations and volunteers helping their neighbors pick up the pieces.

Through the end of March, the ToolBank is making its vast tool inventory available to at no charge all nonprofit and community groups who are pitching in to clean up after the weekend storms. Examples of helpful disaster recovery tools available at the ToolBank are chain saws, digging bars, shovels, hammers, axes and pruning saws, and dozens of others. Tools useful for rebuilding are also on hand: circular saws, extension cords, generators, and much more.

Interested agencies can simply complete the Tool Order Form to request more than 150 types of tools available from the ToolBank. A ToolBank staff person will contact you shortly to confirm your tool order and an appointment to pick up your tools from the ToolBank.

Please call (404) 880-0054 x12 for additional info.
