About the Reynoldstown Civic Improvement League & Reynoldstown Revitalization Corporation
The Reynoldstown Civic Improvement League (RCIL) was organized in 1952 under a program sponsored by the Atlanta University School of Social Work and the Atlanta Urban League. The main objective was to involve the community in the political and voting process and to involve the neighborhood youth in character building activities. In the late 1980's RCIL requested research for the feasibility of becoming a community development corporation which resulted in the founding of the Reynoldstown Revitalization Corporation. RRC addresses housing needs of the neighborhood as well as economic and leadership development.
