The 6th Annual Spaghetti Junction Urban Film Festival, a leading urban film festival in the Southeast, prepares for a laundry list of intriguing films, world premiere screenings and industry tastemakers.As one of the fastest growing American urban film festivals in Southeast US, nationally acclaimed filmmakers are expected in Decatur, Georgia Wednesday, April 16 - Sunday, April 20 for the 6th Annual Spaghetti Film Festival (SJUFF). Hosted at Galaxy FunPlex Center(Formally Screenworks) 2801 Candler Road (on premises of The Gallery at South DeKalb), and under the festival's theme Delivering Cinema in True Color. Audiences can again expect to be entertained by the impact of shorts and feature films that showcase a plethora of untold stories that promise a voice from independent filmmakers and award-winning actors. From drama to comedy to documentary, tickets as low as $6.00, this year's festival goes full circle.
The 6th year event opens with the Red Carpet screening on Wednesday April 16th 2008 with Local filmmakers Rob Hardy and Will Packer (The Gospel, Stomp The Yard and This Christmas) Hosting there newest release, the feature presentation of Three Can Play That Game starring Vivica Fox, Tony Rock, Terry Vaughn, Kellita Smith, Jason George and Atlanta's own Rashan Ali of Hot 107.9FM.
Three premieres will also be featured at this years festival beginning with Thursday night Red Carpet World Premiere of Jada a drama film directed by Clifton Powell starring Actor/producer Rockmond Dunbar (Soul Food, Prison Break) and actor/singer Jason Weaver, Friday nights South East Premiere of Tupac Assassination: Conspiracy or Revenge written and directed by RJ Bond and Executive Produced by Bond and Frank "Big Frank" Alexander, Tupac's former bodyguard, and closes with Saturday nights Premiere of Black August, starring Gary Dourdan (CSI: Crime Scene Investigation), a story ripped from history's headlines about the explosive life and times of civil rights activist George Lester Jackson.
Additional must-see screenings include Rhyme Animal starring Craig 'muMs' Grant (Oz, Def Poetry Jam) about a potential cannibalistic serial killer, Tao of The Golden Mask, a comedic spoof and Directorial debut of Comedian/Actor Faizon Love (Elf, Idlewild)
Other festival highlights include this year's 2008 SJUFF IMPACT Award presentation to Ralph Scott Executive Producer for 'The Best Shorts' (BET-J), independent filmmaking workshops, as well as the festival finale's SJUFF Impact Awards Black and White Ball, announcing festival winners.

ABOUT THE SPAGHETTI JUNCTION FILM FESTIVAL
Founded in 2002 by husband and wife, Mark & Kiyomi Eschoe, after years of being dissatisfied with the lackluster urban film platforms in the Atlanta metropolitan area, the festival has become one of the most successful vehicles in Southeast US for independent filmmakers that seek a major film platform. Named Spaghetti Junction for Mark's love for Spaghetti Westerns and Brooklyn's Flatbush Junction, it has screened more than 250 independent black films and 10 world premieres. Celebrity guests have included IMPACT Award Recipients Bill Nunn and The Cast of a Different World, actress Vanessa Williams, actors Lahman Rucker, Brian Hooks, Jaszmin Lewis, Sheryl Lee Ralph just to name a few.
