The Human Development Department in conjunction with Commissioner
David Burgess of the Consumer Affairs Unit for the Georgia Public Service Commission will sponsor a workshop on Natural Gas. The presentation will be held on Monday, September 25, 2006, from 10 a.m. until noon at the Lou Walker Senior Center, 2538 Panola Rd., Lithonia GA 30058. The event, “Natural Gas Outreach” will help seniors prepare for the woes of winter weather. Seniors are asked to bring a copy of their natural gas bill to gain understanding, learn about discounts available to the seniors and decide how to select a marketer. All questions and concerns will be address about natural gas during this outreach session. Any seniors (age 55 and better) are encouraged to attend.
