Long time Forsyth County resident Jewel Palmer died suddenly on Monday, February 13, 2006. Her husband, Hershel Palmer, preceded Ms. Palmer in death. Ms. Palmer was a jewel whose beauty and indomitable spirit lifted all who encountered her. She was a frequent attendee at meetings of the AARP and was an active supporter of the Forsyth County Senior Center. For a number of years Ms. Palmer served Forsyth County faithfully as a member of the Board of Equalization. Forsyth County has suffered a great loss with the passing of Ms. Palmer. Visitation will be at Ingram Funeral home on Wednesday, February 15th from 2 PM until 5 PM and again from 7 PM until 9 PM. Services will be held in the Chapel at Ingram Funeral home on Thursday, February 16th at 2 PM.
