Mourning the passing of Ronald ReaganI heard the news about Ronald Reagan’s passing this afternoon while sitting around with friends at a campaign meet and greet. The room went quiet for a moment or two. Some were visibly upset at the news, while others took it stoically due to the long illness our former President has suffered from these many years.

Is the Hope Scholarship Going Away?Absolutely not. But something has to change. Increasing college enrollment, rising tuition costs and flattening lottery participation call for modifications. Either participation has to be curtailed or award levels limited - or both. I expect the legislature to approve a combination this session.
