WHO
Frank Wren is a career Major League Baseball front office veteran. He was appointed GM of the Atlanta Braves in October 2007 after serving eight years alongside the well-known general manager, John Schuerholz. Wren began his career with the Montreal Expos in 1985, and he moved to the Florida Marlins as assistant general manager in 1991. He helped lead this expansion franchise to win its first World Series championship in 1997. Wren was GM of the Baltimore Orioles from 1998 to 1999. He is a native of St. Petersburg, Florida where he played baseball at St. Petersburg Junior College before signing with the Montreal Expos in 1977.
